11th Gastronomical Ski World Cup
On 10 and 11 April, it is once again time to close the kitchen, bar and reception, and to head for the slopes instead!
As every year for the last decade, Ischgl will once again be hosting the Gastronomical Ski World Cup, with hoteliers, restaurateurs, chefs, sommeliers, bar keepers, waiters, wine makers and other assorted hotel staff as well as suppliers and tourism students competing on the slopes.
From skiing to snowboarding, the giant slalom is the competition of choice for all winter sports enthusiasts who work in the tourism industry and who are professionally coached for this one-of-a-kind event.
In recent years, more than 2,000 participants from 15 countries took part in the event, which also includes an après-ski programme, taster sessions, bartender skill displays, a mixing contest, show cooking and wine tastings on stage.
Following the prize-giving ceremony on 11 April, the competition will be brought to a close in style with the Winner’s Night. This year, DJane Giulia Siegel will ensure that the famous après-ski scene in Ischgl lives up to its name!
All competitions will start at 10:30am in Ischgl Idalp.
